We could have purchased a day pass to the Grand, which – as you can guess by it’s name – is more grand, but we opted to concentrate on the two available to us – because there was PLENTY to do there. We stayed at Nizuc (in the middle), and visited the Sunrise several times. Now there are three (!) in a row – Sunrise, Nizuc and The Grand. I have wanted to visit the Moon Palace Cancun for years, back when it was just one resort. I am a Palace Resorts affiliate partner and may receive a commission for purchases made through links on this site. I was with a group of friends so it didn't stop us from having a great time (the all-inclusive alcohol helped!) but the resort was not a highlight of the trip.Note: Palace Resorts provided my stay, however all words and photos are mine. This might be a good choice if you were planning an extended stay, but even if I were going on a longer trip I would not stay here again. The food was ok, but nothing to write home about. The sand was white and soft, but the water was covered in seaweed so it wasn't great for swimming. I spent most of the time on the beach so I wouldn't have to listen to the loud music and games being played by the pools. It was also so busy and there were so many people everywhere that I never felt like I was fully relaxed. The restaurants lacked ambiance and I felt like I was in a Vegas casino in the lobbies. It took us a day to orient ourselves because we didn't receive a good orientation to the property when we checked in (they were only interested in getting us to the sales pitch breakfast). Moon Palace Cancun is a welcoming retreat in the heart of the paradisiacal Caribbean.Ĭons: The resort is HUGE! We were only there for 4 days and it felt overwhelming to make decisions about where to eat, what to do, etc. The cutting-edge Playroom is ideal for kids aged four to 12, while adults can enjoy cocktails and dancing at Noir nightclub, and indulge in luxury beauty treatments at the Awe Spa.
